Honorable George Raimes Beach was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on March 14, 1875; the son of Marcus and Mary R. (Jackson).
He attended the public schools of Jersey City, then Stevens Preperatory School and Columbia College, graduating from Columbia University in 1897, where he received the degree of LL.B.
Judge Beach was admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey in the Fall of 1897. He was also admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey in the Fall of 1897. He was also admitted in the state of New York. He served as a Referee in bankruptcy for the Bergen and Hudson County District from 1913 - 1938 and was named Honorary Referee in Bankruptcy.
His retirement dinner was held at the Columbia University Club. he was cited for the able manner in which he administered bankruptcy law for a quarter of a century. The dinner was attended by Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black.
Judge Beach was a member of the Executive Committee of the New Jersey Savings Banks' Association, having been President of the Association. He was on the Executive committee of the Savings Bank Division of the American Bankers Association.
Judge Beach was a Director of the Montclair Community Hospital and of the Community Welfare Chest of Jersey City. He was President of the Columbia University Club of New Jersey for three years and of the Alumni Federation of Columbia University and was an Alumni Trustee of Columbia University from 1925 to 1931.
Judge beach was married to the former Lucy McBride. They had two children, George R. & Katherine L.
